Explanation of the different width fittings
The majority of Tricker’s men’s shoes and boots are produced in a width fitting 5. This is suitable for most men, as it is considered the standard width. In the UK, this standard width is known as an F fitting; in the US, as a D fitting; and in other parts of the world as M (medium) or R (regular) fitting. Examples of models in width fitting 5 include the iconic Stow country boot, Bourton country shoe, and Robert town shoe collections.
Some Tricker’s models are made in a width fitting 6, which is suitable for wider feet. In the UK, this wider fitting is known as a G fitting; in the US, as an E fitting; and in other parts of the world as a W (wide) fitting. If a shoe or boot has a width fitting 6, this will always be mentioned in the product details. Examples of models in width fitting 6 include the Malton country boot and the Keswick country shoe.
After a short time, your new Tricker’s shoes or boots will adapt to the shape of your feet. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the right width fitting.
