The shoe creams, shoe waxes and leather lotions we sell contain natural ingredients such as animal oils and natural fats. These care for and nourish the leather so it remains beautifully supple and retains or enhances its shine. Beeswax has a natural talent for caring for leather and is often one of the main ingredients of Saphir Médaille d'Or shoe creams. In addition, shoe cream such as Pommadier cream and shoe wax such as Pate de Luxe or Mirror Gloss ensure that the shoe is well-protected against (rain)water and dirt.
The inside of the shoes
Of course, you want to take good care of your shoes. Did you know that you can also take care of them from inside the shoe? We naturally already take care of the outside of the shoe with shoe care products from the Saphir Médaille d'Or line, which now remains neat. However, we strongly advise everyone to put a nice pair of cedar wood shoe trees in their shoes after wearing them. The moisture and minerals that are absorbed into the shoe while wearing are extracted from the interior by the cedar wood. Because the tensioner keeps the shoe nicely in shape, the leather will not wrinkle, and no cracks or creases will occur in the leather. This is due to the combination of using good shoe care products that keep the leather well nourished and the shoe tree that keeps the shoe in shape.
And don't forget to take care of your shoe soles
In dress shoes, the insoles are usually made of leather and fit like a glove after wearing them for a while. But with use, your shoe insole can also dry out; this is where sole oil can be helpful to increase the life of the sole. We recommend you maintain your soles monthly with Saphir Médaille d'Or Sole Guard. Just apply, let it soak in, brush it out, and your shoe soles are good to go again.
